Self Care
Why do you need a Pregnancy Massage?
There are many benefits from receiving a massage during pregnancy.
These include:
Providing you with some “me time” where you can completely relax and intuitively connect with your changing body
Allows you time to connect with your growing baby physically and emotionally
Eases general aches and pains which are common in pregnancy, particularly your lower back, pelvis, and shoulders
Helps to stabilise hormonal changes that present at each trimester as your pregnancy progresses
Helps to relieve and shift any extra fluid retention particularly in your lower limbs
Promotes rest, eases anxiety and improves sleep patterns
Making time to nurture yourself and connect with your baby is a beautiful bonus!
I feel so happy and privileged to be able to care for pregnant women in the privacy of their own home, at a time that suits them, and allow them to totally switch off from all their other obligations and just be in their own relaxed space.
I am there for advice, reassurance or as a quiet therapist - I am guided by you!

Why do you need a Postnatal Massage?
Birthing your baby and becoming a mother is an overwhelming experience, both physically and emotionally. Whether you are becoming a mother for the first time or adding to your family, you need time to Rest, Restore and Rebalance you mind and body afterwards.
An important question I believe in strongly is ‘Everyone wants to hold the baby, but who holds the Mum?’ Prioritising time to nurture yourself is an important part of adjusting to your new role. One of these ways is through a relaxing massage. Taking time out for yourself to allow a quiet space where your body and mind can recover from labour and birth.
Massage can often support and enhance your birth recovery in a number of ways, including:
Touch through gentle massage strokes can help to rest and rebalance the immense physical effort your body has been through during your pregnancy journey as well as birth
Releasing any tension and underlying pregnancy discomforts that may still be troublesome
Helping to regulate and rebalance your hormones which can help to reduce stress
Rebalancing and easing muscular or ligament strain in the lower back, pelvis, abdominal muscles and hips
Easing tension in the neck and shoulders that often occurs with feeding a newborn
Promoting sleep through allowing your body to totally relax
Allowing you to spend time to talk through and process your birth experience
I am able to work around your schedule with feeding and caring for your baby by providing a massage in your own home. This can help to ease any added stress in travelling to an clinic.
As a Midwife I am also available to answer your questions or concerns too!
